Now I can post my very first crochet wearable. It is from Crochet Today Magazine Apr/May issue, which I bought when I was in Manila last May for vacation.
It is in the cover the of said Mag, but I didn't make the whole sleeves, instead I shorten it, and make the skirt a little longer.
Here are the photos, I am so excited and now I finally able to wear this although it's a bit tighter around the waist..oh well, do more crunches & sit-up please.

Wow, so beautiful, Jinky! Nice Job! You've inspired me to hunt down and try this pattern; it looks so lovely on you!
ReplyDeleteJinky, that is so lovely! I am so unlucky when it come to buying crochet magazines. But it seemed that you have found a real gem. I only had one crochet mag and haven't done any projects on it yet. I really wish I could finish a wearable crochet project before the year ends.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, what yarn did you use in your project? Isn't it too hot to wear?
Very lovely oh so pretty on you, you did a great job. LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteSaw your post on CrochetPartners so I came over to take a look at your tunic. It is beautiful!!! You look fabulous in it!!!

ReplyDeleteGene, I bought it when I was in Manila, at NationaBookstore. If you happen to visit National, let me know if you still find some magazines there. :)
ReplyDeleteOr if you like, the mag has a distributor sticker (local) on it, I can give you their number and inquire if they accept individual subscription.

ReplyDeleteThat's a great Jinky! May I have the number of the local distibutor? So I can call them if they still have available copies.
ReplyDeleteGene, will send you note on ravelry about the distributor...
ReplyDeletetake care.

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI have this pattern and I have just started on the sleeves.
I find them very weird. How does the sleeve turn out. I have started it and does one have to work the seam towards the outer edge rather than the inner edge like normal patterns?
I have always started working on sleeves down up towards the arm hole and shoulder and this is the first time that I am working on a pattern where the sleeve is started from the shoulder down.
Appreciate your help. Please email me at dbosblondie@gmail.com
Thanks in advance.
hi Judy,
ReplyDeleteI just follow what's on the pattern, although I also did had some confusion on the sleeves part.
I emailed them and it turns out there were just minor corrections on the pattern. I will check my emails and get back at you once I've found it.
Or if you're anxious to finish your tunic-like me :) you can send your inquiry to them and they will gladly help you out.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope to see your finished tunic soon.
Take care
